Poland
A country of almost 41,000,000 people, where
only 120,000 have a relationship with Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
Official Name: Republic of Poland
Capital City: Warsaw
Population: fluctuates between 40 and 41 million, due to Ukrainian refugee migration to and from Poland

Poland Needs the Gospel
Followers of Jesus know that all nations, all peoples, need the gospel. God has called us to join His work in Poland. Here are some reasons we’re focused on Poland in particular.
- Only 0.3% of the population follow Christ. That’s only 3 people out of every 1000.
- There are more evangelical Christians in Saudi Arabia than in Poland
- Jehovah’s Witnesses outnumber evangelicals 2 to 1
- Poland ranks 8th in the world for alcohol abuse. Nearly 25% of all Polish males over the age of 15 are alcoholics
- 84% of the population identify as Roman Catholic but only 38% actually practice their faith
- Most Poles believe that Christ opened the door for us to get to heaven, but salvation must still be earned through good works
National Collaboration Effort
Collaborative Goals for 2050
Historically speaking, there has been little collaboration in efforts and vision between the small evangelical denominations. This has led the church to have little impact or influence on the greater population with most of the Polish population unaware of and misinformed about the evangelical church.
This attitude has changed. Evangelical Poland has been established as a national collaborative movement among denominations, churches, and Christians to help churches and ministries share the gospel of Jesus Christ and equip believers to transform lives and the nation of Poland.
Evangelical Poland (Ewangeliczna Polska) has established goals for 2050, as shown right. Efforts to reach these goals are focused in the 5 areas shown below.

Evangelism and Church Planting
Create resources and strategic evangelistic opportunities, both locally and nationally, including free ebook “Review of 100 Evangelistic Tools”

Leadership Development
Intentionally investing in the next generation and creating successors; promote spiritual fatherhood through transfer of knowledge and skills

Discipleship
Equip believers for discipleship so that next generations of Christians may grow and be shaped through intimate discipleship relationships with other believers

Media
Use media, communication, marketing, and Public Relations to inform Polish public regarding evangelical churches, events, and who evangelicals are

Humanitarian Work
Practical expression of loving God and loving your neighbor by proclaiming the gospel through humanitarian efforts

When people in the West think about missions, they tend to imagine jungles, grass huts, mysterious temples. In reality, the least reached peoples now live in a continent full of cathedrals, high rise apartment buildings, and soccer fields.
God isn’t done drawing people to Himself, even among populations that have historically “had” the gospel.

Church revitalization (coming alongside national churches and revitalizing outreach efforts) as well as equipping national believers for the work of ministry is one of the greatest needs of the evangelical church in Europe.
